(Following are basic KYU requirements in the art of Aiki-Tai-Jutsu by Yukon Academy of Martial Arts and
Yeshua-Do International Grading Committee)


PART 1

Children Kyu Requirements - Mudansha
(Age 6-12)


12 KYU (6-7yrs old) white belt

* personally wearing/folding Gi (uniform) + tying obi (belt)
* counting in Japanese from 1 to 10 (1-ICHI 一 , 2-NI 二 , 3-SAN 三 , 4-SHI 四 , 5-GO 五, etc)
* the meaning term of Yeshua-Do
* knowledge of basic Dojo comments:
- ONEGAI-SHIMASU – please teach me – formula spoken at the beginning of training, as well as during exercise before
- ARIGATO GOZAIMASHITA – thank you very much
- YAME – stop
- TORI – person performing technique - UKE – an attacker
- KIRITSU – command get up
- SEIZA – Japanese traditional sitting
- HIDARI KAMAE – stance with left leg in front
- MIGI KAMAE – stance with right leg in front
- AI-HANMI – both partners are in the same positions
- GIAKU-HANMI -“mirror position”
* Bow in sitting and standing positions
* Ukemi Waza (rolling):
- KOHO-UKEMI-UNDO - cradle
- MAE UKEMI – front roll
- USHIRO UKEMI – roll in back
* Tai Sabaki (turn around):
- TENKAI-ASHI – return a 180’
- TENKAN – return a 180’ on the leg in front
* Attack:
- KATATETORI – attacker grabs hand of a partner located in the position of the mirror
* Techniques:
- TAI-NO-TENKAN-HO
- KATATETORI KOKYU HO
* Any one technique
